Trakwelt 8” insulated. Course they have been discontinued like everything else good in life.
Still searching thru their lineup for my next pick. But I’m due for new. Probably limp these bye til fall and get a new pair come winter.
What boots do you guys prefer?

Quarry in the wedge sole is what I’ve gone to — first pair is 3 years old, 2nd pair is 1 1/2

I've Prefer REDWING IRISH SETTER, 600 GRAM INSULATE, Year Round Wear, w/o Steel Toe.
I no wear 'em every day/night. Great Hiking and Alternate Trail Blazing Support, yet not designed for Concrete or similar Dense surface.
9 Lace support and L-O-N-G-E-R Laces than needed, so Paracord replaced.
Had new Soles installed last winter for a mere $250.00.
Other pair has 300 or 400Gram Thinsulate Ultra Insulation, VIBRAM Soles, 9 holes for LONG Laces, Non Steel/Composite Toes and around $300.00 in 2018 or 2019.
Had a pair of high end walmart low ball classic boots without insulation, but with steel (or fake steel) toe that lasted a few years. They were those cheap chinese YELLOW boots, that I believe had an additional label claiming not for the other use.
Spend a reasonable amount to gain Quality and Performance, or suffer.

Red Wings, (1422) i got mine in Nov 2005, had them resoled at least 3 times now
mine had been discontinued for many years now.
they retired when i did, now they serve me when i shovel snow, or work the garden, so they live the "easy life" too......
sooooo.....
Red Wings, guaranteed for life, (except for asphalt workers) and lifetime free laces. -
Been wearing these all winter except when it's minus zero degrees.
Most comfortable I've ever owned and I buy 1 pair a year.

Marine Expeditionary Boot 8" GTX Mojave (M.E.B.)
Best boot in the world. I own a pair and would pay 1k for them. Wear nothing else other than shower shoes at the t/a -
Something to be noted. No matter how expensive your boots, they will be worthless before their time if the leather isn't maintained.
Truckingdaytrader, kemosabi49 and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
