I have seen Mystik at similar pricing in just about every farm and home store I have come across. Mine near me is Theisen's. Not too far out in the sticks... 1 mile from exit 168 in Iowa on I-80. Truck accessible. Next to Wally World. Blain's Farm and Fleet has similar pricing. They are a couple blocks away from the Flying J in Davenport, IA. I guess that would be the "sticks" to someone from NYC or Frisco.

Truck stops, parts houses and so on carry it in Houston. I suppose it helps that Mystic is here too. Seen it as low as $12 a gallon to $16.50 . Utility trailer has it too.

Big R & Farm & Home around central IL carries it as well. May have to try Mystic if Mobil gets much higher.
Their gear oil was always really good in other applications.

Per regional representative I recently talked with from Donaldson regarding another issue, the topic moved over to another discussion and he stated that Donaldson is making the Cat filters. Get what is the best price.

I guess each person has some preference one way or the other, but regarding Lucas, I have still yet to figure out what is unstable about engine oils that they need stabilized by Lucas. Over at www.bobistheoilguy.com, they have run virgin oil analysis on Lucas to see what it is. It is nothing more than straight 50w base oil. No additives of any kind. That would beg the question, why not just buy a 15w50 engine oil with the normal additive packages? A gallon of 15w50 is half the price of a gallon of Lucas.

    Oh well....

Exactly why I use Delvac ... My engine will use 1/2 gallon to 3/4 in 12,000 to 14,000 miles on Rotella T and in Delvac it's rare to even have to add 1 QT and even that's rare .

I use Mobil Delvac with 2 Gallons Lucas

I do not know what is in lucas, but I use it. I am not sure if it is just a base oil. I have used all different type oils in many vehicles. what got me suspecting lucas as something different was after changing my oil at 10,000 miles I put some of the old oil on some rusty chains & I could not wipe off the oil. it was like a liquid web. just like a snot. it clinged to the metal & itself. I did not think there would be any indication of 1 gal of anything in my oil after 10,000 miles, but there was. I do not know if 15w50 base oil would cling like lucas. anyone who has opened a bottle of lucas knows, the littlest strand of it is like a liquid web. you can actually stretch it. it does not just pour like oil. those who have poured lucas know what I am talking about. you can't just tip oil jug & stop all the flow, with lucas, there are strings of liquid that blow in the wind & get on what ever it touches. no oil does that. anyway . I do not know if lucas helps. but I know it cannot hurt. or at least I have no knowledge of it hurting my engine.
