You mean you are gonna use a cordless battery impact to change a tire? I want to see that.

Cordless impact to remove the lugs off. I'm not talking about removing a tire off a rim. I've seen trucks with a spare tire on a rim under the trailer in the tire carrier. I have an IR cordless impact rated at 1100 ft lbs.

My ex MIL, who is like 94, and pretty out of it, but 25 years ago, she was pretty sharp. One of my ex BIL's at a gathering once said, he just got some kind of bonus for perfect attendance. Ma looked at me with a confused look and said, " I don't understand, why you would get a bonus for perfect attendance, aren't you suppose to go to work anyway"? I didn't have an answer for her.

A cammed over brake can be released most of the time by hitting the slack adjuster with a hammer. Then you will need to back the slack adjuster off, or chances are it will cam over again as soon as you hit the brakes again.

Now what I'm about to tell you will be a violation but I'd rather not fix the truck on the side of the road or pay a tow bill. After the brake is backed off, you can drive it slowly to a repair facility.

The main thing that causes this nowadays is worn drums. Due to the DOT man keeping a eye on brake shoe thickness, people make sure they have decent brake shoes. The problem is they let the drums slide. I've seen brakes cam over and the shoes not be half worn out, due to worn drums. Worn drums is harder to detect in a inspection than worn shoes.

Oh good. I like problems that can be corrected by hitting things with a hammer.

Now, when you say hit the slack adjuster, can I assume you mean hitting the pushrod, basically, to turn it back the other way?

Fingertips or toes tingling with pain is early warning of frostbite and pending hyperthermioa (Too cold core temp) It will be the one warning people get and that's it. Ego, spirit or some mental position that they are NOT cold and are tough will get them killed by exposure.

We can do things when it's really cold a while, but you must get warm at tingles and numb before the shivers sink in. Once you start shivering and do not have a recent meal to stay burning into heat to feed the loss of power via shivering, you will not be able to restore your own heat.

By the same token even more important is not to exert yourself so that you sweat in the cold. Preserve what warmth you have by pacing yourself and working "Easy" you will be there a while. Just don't make it your last resting place.

Im sure you know these things, but I put it there for others who don't know.
