As long as your driving history isn't a disaster and you can get a DOT medical card there isn't much that will prevent you driving. Even ex felons get truck driving jobs, not great jobs, but paying jobs nonetheless. -

I was going to say "Failing any test, including written, skills and road test". All those other reason will keep you from getting a job, not your license.

There was a time where certain felonies or crimes etc would have barred you from the industry. Things have changed so much from the time I took a 15 minute drive in a semi for my class A in the 80's and filled out a two page test, general knowledge and airbrakes. That's it done. Fast forward to today, you have new barriers in our state where you must view as of July this year a video against human illegal trafficing for about 20 minutes and add that certificate to the Revenuer with all of the other stuff including your utility bills etc. Before they will consider your request for a new CDL from nothing.
It's getting to where they might pre-select babies for trucking at 18 based on childhood physical traits in big data.... and reject all others.
