Established residence. Check your state's CDL requirements.

Law enforcement accepts a person's occupied home as a residence or common law living domicile if you stayed after a period of time generally.

Homeland Security has a vested interest in your life when you apply to drive a 18 wheeler now. They will want that information to check your life prior. If you are not a problem you will get your CDL, Twic etc.

Remember, two senators created homeland security about 3 weeks after 9-11 and within a few months the apparatus was moved into a decript building in DC and boom, a new branch of government was born. Dedicated to ensuring homeland security.

We felt it's chill winds of scrutiny not long after.

No drug testing to get a CDL. Now The company you go to or the school your in will drug test you but not a requirement to just get the CDL

I used to think the inability to drive might prevent a person from getting their CDL...but some of the "professional drivers" I see out there on the road proves that simply isn't the case.

I can't stop laughing at that while also being a little concerned for everyone else on the road

Nothing brings out the lowest common denominator in the gene pool than driving. Just like "those" kids that couldn't color inside the lines.

If you use a cpap machine you can use that to your advantage with large companies by getting a inverter in your truck. The larger companies will avoid putting an inverter i. Your truck unless it's needed for a medical device.
