What can prevent you from getting you're CDL?

Common sense or someone caring enough to talk you out of it. Wish someone would have done so with me long ago

 

A lot of drivers say that, but I disagree even after 14 years at it. Trucking freed me from jobs I hated where I was constantly watching the clock, totally miserable until I got to go home. This isn't even like a job to me, even when it is difficult.

Don't get me wrong though. I'd totally feel the same way had I not gotten into daycab jobs a decade ago. I decided I'd give it up if I couldn't find a local job. I'll never go back to driving a sleeper truck if I can help it.
