Hahahahah.........I like the way you think CC. Did that at a job once and the old beast could out pull anything in the fleet. I'd past them on the hills and they'd just look with their mouth open as a split a gear going by. Nothing personal driver.:biggrin_2559:

I like to thank some of you guys for your feed back... My thing is being comfortable in a truck if im going to be in for 10-14 weeks and that KW T600 dont work for me. I guess im asking if some who is with conway knows if ill get a conway truck or a cfi truck??? & i dont know about anyone else but if your not comfortable in a truck then your not going to drive it right.. it will effect your skills... & thats for real ,: you as a driver has to have the truck adjust to you!!! not you adjusting to the truck!!!

Wow! I just passed on posting when I first read this. You are in you 40's with 2 years of experience; I would have expected more wisdom.

Picking a job based on the truck is something a young pup might do. I hear there are some jobs at small companies driving roomy, fast, hoods for peanuts.

Just for the new drivers starting out please don't believe that the truck or the company adjusts to the driver. As a driver, new or veteran, you adjust to the company and the truck. If you don't or you allow the fact that you didn't get the truck you want affect your performance, you will be looking for another job.

Now for the OP, if the truck you drive is this important then I guess you should insure you get what you want. I don't see this thought process as the way to become a seasoned veteran or secure your future.

If you can not adjust to any truck in 500 miles you need more miles under your belt. Skilled drivers take pride in adapting to any given situation. In other words with years of experience you learn not to over load your ### with your mind. Not a personal attack it's just the way it is.

Which is more comfortable when you're 66? A nice couch in a paid off home or an old ratty couch under a bridge?

How about an old ratty couch in the paid off home? New, nice and expensive couches never feel as good to sleep on.

What gets me is he is only getting .37 a mile. #### I would be more unhappy with that than what kind of truck I was driving.

With you living in NYC and with 2 years of experience you can't find a company up here to pay you more?
