Well Slick, I hope it works out for you.
BTW Slick, if you don't put your experience up nobody knows and more experience kind of makes my point even stronger.
what can you tell me about Conway trucks?

Nothing wrong with opting for what kind of truck you will or will not drive. It might make it little harder to find a job but that's your puragative. Your the one who has to live in it and drive it for hours, weeks and even for months on end.
After being with one company for many years and having the privilage of being able to choose which truck I wanted from the dealers lot, I too ran into the same situation as you. When my company went out of business, the trucking company I'm with now handed me the keys to a 6 year old Freightliner Cascadia, after orientation. I handed the keys back and said politely that I'd prefer not to drive it and if that's all they had, I could head back home on the next bus. 15 minutes later they hand me the keys to a 2006 T-600 that I've been in for the past 1 1/2 years.
Now, what worked to my advantage was my 34 years experience, 2 tickets (lifetime) and zero claims on any freight that I ever hauled. With your 3-4 years of city driving and only 2 years OTR, your still considered a rookie.
Good luck and stay safe. -

I believe the message is getting twisted here. If smitty chooses to pick his job based solely on what type of tractor he wants that's his business. However, I believe that any professional driver should be able to drive any truck on the market but comfort is a factor when picking jobs if the benefits are the same.
When the benefits are not the same then comfort should be way down the list when it comes to choosing a job that is great for your future. After years of driving I know that you can adjust to any truck. If you can't then there's something in your physical makeup that maybe you need to change. If you have job offerings from other companies that have the same benefits then by all means go ahead and pick the truck you like. But if you have a great job offering from one company and you turn it down due to the truck then you're just a fool. -
