why not just apply now? if you wait the year you will still be on the bottom for seniority.
to me the only reason to start TL first is if you have no experience.
I would prefer otr maybe regional to LTL too much time working the docks. especially in this heat.![]()
what can you tell me about Conway trucks?

you miss my point you should go to that local freight yard. no need to go otr first freight is a different company than TL affiliated but still a different company.
read some of jakebrakes threads. you have 2 yrs otr and local if you want local just go for it.
as far as seniority goes LTL is run like union need seniority to get the good runs and not have to call in each day to see if you work or not. alot of LTL is part time to start.
15hrs maybe. pleanty of dock work i think -
CWTL, the majority of trucks in the fleet are t-600/660's, in that mix are a mess of Internationals, and something like 60 Freightliners.
I would suspect that by the law of averages, and being you don't want one, you'll end of with a T-600 Red, T-660 White.
Generally don't get a choice.blktop-bucanear Thanks this. -
Also, just as a foot note, Truckload and Freight operate as separate entities.
Going from one to the other or visa versa is hardly any different than somebody coming in off the street. You can have 20 years at T/L, and your the new guy on the block at Freight. Just saying.
I think Freight doles their trucks out on seniority, so being the new guy on the block there, I doubt your going to get something shiny new and spacious.
Can't fault you for your desires, back in the day, I wouldn't apply for any outfit that had Cabovers.blktop-bucanear Thanks this. -
I'll drive a ugly truck, but I won't drive a P.O.S. ill maintained truck.
