the cities that do road work during the daytime rush causing traffic to back up instead of at night when there is hardly any traffic. ### backward engineers.

Anywhere you see orange cones and barrels.
Now for the best places for road construction, I have to hand it to Alaska. They were paving 3 lanes each direction between Anchorage and Eagle River. Somewhere between 10 and 15 miles. This included milling the old asphalt and laying new. They finished it in 7 days. Yep you read that right. They worked 24 hours and in the morning they worked the outbound lanes from Anchorage and the afternoon and evening they worked the inbound lanes. It was such a smooth project you almost did not realize there was any road construction going on.texasbbqbest, Canned Spam, LindaPV and 6 others Thank this. -
Obviously that wasn't in penn lol

My all time favorite is Arizona I on I-40 a couple of years ago. I wish I had taken a picture of the sign that said, "Rough road next 63 miles". That's how they "repair" roads in Arizona. You're warned. Problem solved.

I was reading this thread thinking 'ROAD CONSTRUCTION, where is it bad at?' I haven't seen much, but then I'm usually oversized and they route me around all of it. I did, however, run into Eastbound 10 in Baton Rouge. Sat through the curfew and tried to get through the curfew area. HP pulled a 2 lane wide stretch load through 5 minutes before I could move. GRIDLOCK at the Big River. I12 is 3 lanes wide until Denham Springs and no one wanted to pass the cop escort. Idiots. I pass him with a 14 wide stretch load and a civilian pilot car. I called the Petro in Hammond and grabbed 2 spots. By the time I reach the coup, I'm racing against time. The scalemaster asks me, "Do you know what time sundown is?" "Yessir, 20 minutes." "How far are you going?" "Reserved spot and the Petro." "Have a good day, driver."
There's no construction, but I HATE driving eastbound 10 through Baton Rouge...there's ALWAYS a backup.Canned Spam Thanks this. -
