Most places in Missouri have green lids for taxable diesel and green lids with a red stripe or x for non taxable diesel. Some states have yellow lids for diesel. Always ask before you drop if you're unsure.

Per the API standard, a green fill port lid specifically indicates Fuel Oil \ Heating Oil and yellow indicates Diesel. The code lists a specific indicator for Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (A black "U" which is required for on-road use) and High Sulfur Diesel (A rectangle which indicates a sulfur content of greater than 500 ppm). The API standard (API RP 1637, 2006 edition) currently listed in the EPA Regulation and most State Regulations does not list an indicator for red dye diesel.

Check with your company. Sometimes, not very often, companies will change color. However, you should be checking tags along with the color code.
Make sure the tag is fixed to the tank. You have all those and you're ready to go. If you have any doubt go inside to the manager and checked with him and have him sign the drop sheet just in case.
