Idling keeps engine warm so no issues starting if the temp drops too low that's why the idle allowance is there below 28. The trucks have separate bunk heaters also if you want to roll the dice with your truck starting if the temp really drops while you are sleeping.

I had 3 trucks at Abilene and they all went 68.

I don't think they can do that.... I am able to run 70 And they seem to not just by estimation not running more then 65 US78/I22 I dang near run them over. And I usually don't run more then 65-67 through there.
