    Become a car hauler.
I run a trip from Baltimore to Chicago and then from Rockford, IL to the Baltimore/Washington/Delaware area. If I do a load to Pittsburgh, Pa before loading my run back to Chicago, I gross $2100. Of course I have to fetch and load my cars and then unload them at the dealers. (Free Exercise) Don't see many fat car haulers.

The 2 long trips are about 700 + 790 miles. Pittsburgh is 249 miles. Also get $10 per car every load. Usually 9 units sometimes 8. Don't get paid empty miles. over 330 miles is $1.00 per mi. Under 330 is $1.35 per mi.
I drive a day cab and I stay in company paid hotels every night. e.g. Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn, Best Western.

I get home Friday anywhere between 11 am and 4 pm and I leave out On Sunday from Cleveland/Akron area to Chicago.

No, I don’t think you know that. So far your argument has been to demand that workers be paid more because employers have the excess money to do so. Nowhere in your argument did you bring up the fact the employee might not be worth what he/she is asking for. You see excess money and you think you have a right to it. You are envious.
Retention is up the the employer to decide. Maybe the employer thinks that the employer is not worth keeping for the price he is asking for. My pool guy does a great job for $115 a month. But if he says that he wants $200 a month then he can just take a hike. He is not worth retaining at that price. That is my call and not his and not yours.

Before employers can pay more than $11.00 per hour, you first need to reduce the number of people willing to accept that rate of pay.
Therefore, it's not the employers causing the problem. It's the people willing to do your job for half your wages causing the problem.
    Don't blame the employers.

You’re stupid. No one NEEDS any more than food, water and a place to live. I have ran the numbers many times, and a person can get by a on minimum wage especially since they’re minimum skill. No one over 18 should be working for a minimum wage job because they should have applied themselves, and advanced in the world. No one NEEDS a phone, no one NEEDS the internet, no one NEEDS a car. You’re an indoctrinated socialist, so I can’t actually believe you’d agree with what I say.

I started working for minimum wage at an auto shop the day I turned 15. I had SO many opportunities, and wound up owning my own business at 17. Age 21 I was a father, and went to work at the mines. 10 years and 3 jobs later I’m starting my own business again. I attempted to go to college, but could not get any scholarships or grants because I was a white male who had earned too much money. Now you tell me who is the one discriminated against? Hard work doesn’t mean coasting along at McDonald’s 33 hours a week waiting for someone to raise your pay because you complained a lot. It means work. Hard, thankless, unpaid, frustrating work. The American dream isn’t automatically given “to those who wait.”

Oh, and no one NEEDS children, so this BS of people struggling because they have kids is nonsense. That’s a personal choice.
