The western express satellite tv is going to be a joke in the future. Green horns will come here asking which company has the best tv package instead of the best pay package

TMC has nice black Petes with CBs installed and TVs in some. Pretty sure some of their trucks have refrigerators but I'm not sure on that.
    Pride Transport has DirectTV.
A handful of companies offer satellite radio.
If the company offers an APU and an inverter what goes in the truck is all up to you, provided you don't overload the inverter.

Our road fleet consists of 2011 and up Volvo 780's and Kenworth T680's, with two Freightliner Cascadias.

The 2011-13 Volvos and Cascadias have 10 speed manuals while the Kenworths and 2014+ Volvo's have autos. Love that ishift.

They don't have fridges but they ordered most of the trucks with the fridge prep package which leaves a space for one, the dorm fridges that Walmart sells fits in nicely. The Volvo oem fridges are expensive and tend to burn out too quickly.

They all have 1000 watt inverters with shore power capability. CB connections. Sirius XM capable radios with built in blue tooth speakerphone.

No APU but they don't give us much grief over idle time. The Volvos have the driver reward set up so if you keep your idle time down, the truck will run 69 mph on foot.

We have APUs and 1800 watt inverters. Any other "comforts" we supply on our own. It's a job, your employer shouldn't have to be responsible for your entertainment. Sorry, but to me, offering satellite TV in the trucks is kinda like trying to attract the guys who don't have a home who live in the truck and only do the bare minimum to eat and buy worthless junk. The only creature comfort I want is the APU. I need to be comfortable.

    DocMarten and Vilhiem Thank this.

Only certain days of the week. These new drivers coming out don't put up much of a fight anymore, especially the guys with Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner posters. It's not that much fun now.

I also have no use for TV in the truck. All I care about is an inverter and enough space to put in a fridge and a microwave.
I just do not want to live on truckstop food. I am somewhat overweight as it is and do not want to reach hamplanet status.

    icsheeple and joseph1135 Thank this.

I've seen you fatty. Too late. Lol. Marten Transport has inverters in their trucks as well as APU units. And I totally agree on the fridge. I have a dorm sized fridge with a nice sized freezer, a 700 watt microwave (I really new to upgrade that) and an Oster single burner that I cook on. I'm thinking about a toaster, but I think they use too much power.
