I'm offended. Truckstop food is NOT good food. Locally sourced non gmo free range organic food is good. All this processed crap out here with corn meal corn starch and words i cannot pronounce is NOT good for your body. Do some research.

I will not pay nearly double the price for "free range chicken eggs", when less than 2 dollars will do. or any other so-called organic food, at exurbanite prices.I will eat hot dogs, hamburger, French fries and tuna (or dolphin) if I want to.

If i'm gonna die, i'm gonna die because I had a good time eating the foods that made my heart stop. not some healthy shyte. probably grown with human waste as fertilizer.

I believe in eating what I want, drink what I want, no matter the rhetoric about organic crap. why then is it so expensive..??? it gets planted in the ground, gets rained on, or water pumped from the ponds (as all farms do), and has no insecticides or chemicals to help make it grow, yet it costs more.>??

    BS.....

truck stop food is not that bad, you just miss your gals cooking....

It actually is. It's woefully subpar anymore. Take out the "health concerns" and you're still left with barely edible slop

Ok, so let me tell you a story. May of 2013. I was over 300 lbs. After being sick for a good week, with my stomach having pains i finally go to doctor. Well, i have an infection running through my intestines, kidneys, bladder. While they weren't entirely sure what caused it i was told to change my diet. Well two years later and 85 lbs lighter, I'll go with the diet that was recommended to me. You eat what you want, but I'm tired of being poisoned by Monsanto and the government. Especially at 29 years old and almost dying due to that poisoned food.

Well. Someone has been watching Netflix! Lol

    Food inc.?

Unfortunately there's no provable evidence, meaning evidence which links directly back to Monsanto or any other corporation, that the new gmo foods are having adverse effects. Now, why is that? The gmo roundup ready soybean was patented just shy of 90 years ago.

    Roughly 2-2.5 generations of humans.

The cigarette in its original form was introduced back in the early 1800's. It wasn't until the mid-1900's that the surgeon general ever added a warning for all tobacco products. Tobacco has been around since the 10th century in various forms. Centuries passed before it became popular and a good 150 years passed between its peak in popularity and the health warnings being confirmed.

Even now, people still do it. Given the current state of apathy of consumers, it would not at all surprise me if another 2-300 years passed before anyone ever could find a link between gmo and the health of those consuming it.

All that being said... BostonTanker, I'm on your side. While there's little to no scientific evidence shown to support the claims of those against gmo, I have found myself at a crossroads where I didn't eat anything gmo. I noted that I stayed fuller for longer and didn't feel the need to eat so much. When gmo was added back...well...I'm sitting here in my cab typing about it now.

Anthony, you're right that at one point your life will be taken no matter what. While I consider myself, and my scale does too, a foodie there's far more to life than food and the stuff that's known to kill you "faster." I'm a firm believer that no matter what I do, my time is my time and I can't alter it no matter how hard I may try.

But I'll put it this way... If eating healthy and staying healthy means that when I'm 60, or 70, or 80 or older I don't need a little blue pill to get things up... If it means I don't have to spend a whole host of money in meds or doctor bills...
If it means that when I'm 80 I can keep up with my grandson at the age of 10... Pfft. I have healthy ways of making the healthy stuff taste pretty ####ing good.

My "health concerns" have little or nothing to do with extending my own life. But if I'm confined to a bed in my old age because I didn't do right when I was younger... That #### is going to suck harder than Monika Lewinsky under a desk and a Dyson vacuum combined!

Most truck stop food is pretty ####ty. Be it nutritional value or how it tastes. Thankfully not all of it is, but it's getting more and more difficult to find.

Well, unfortunately I'm off the bandwagon... But when I was eating stuff that wasn't pre-made yes.

Right now theres too much #### going on with work, home life and so on. So I've been too busy to cook. I definitely miss it.

I have some forced down time thanks to PPD (cpap crap). found a Walmart to park at, so I may be doing some cooking. I'll definitely be doing some walking. I found a museum right close by here!

DONT YOU FEED THAT LITTLE MOT******KER AFTER MIDNIGHT!

That movie used to scare the crap outta me when I was younger.

And pfft... Anthony, you're like me. About as hardheaded as they come. I didn't expect you to drop everything and change just 'cause ol' me said it.

If you had...I would still think you were being sarcastic about it.
