The Volvo 780's are some of the roomiest and have the most storage that I have seen out there. Course the Western Stars but not many companies run those. Volvo 880's too but not many companies run those either. Therefore I would have to give my vote to the Volvo 780 as far as roomier accommodations that companies run.

He has less than 1 year, so he doesn't qualify for these companies.

well it might help you to know that some of the sleepers have regular twin mattresses and some can hold the extra long ones like the Cascadia.
go to the dealerships and check them out, then choose the companies that have those cabs.
    I like the volvo 780s

Not saying that you are but never choose a company solely on there equipment. Broken purty trucks make no money.

Yanno, from my research, when it comes to sleepers, the "bunk" is the only piece of equipment in there, that is required by the DOT. That being said, why do i see so many "custom" sleepers where the bunk seems to be put in, almost as an afterthought?

Even with the Volvo 780, I found this pic:

So where the hell is the bunk? More importantly, would I really want to bother with a sleeper, in which I have to take down and put up my bed everyday? (hell, most days I don't even make my bed!)

That table in the picture folds down and the cushions can make a lower bunk. I don't know how many drivers use the bottom bunk for sleeping in the 780s, but I do know that Ashley Furniture gives 780s to its solo drivers.
