I’m turning 21 in May, looking to go to school in August. I need a company that will actually get me home on weekends for my first year. I’ve talked with recruiters and then drivers and it’s discouraging when you find out the company is just selling snake oil. So I want to hear from the drivers that have actually been through this already. Thanks in advance everyone!
What companies offer home time on weekends in the East Tennessee area?

Pemberton Truck Lines - Now hiring for Truck driving jobs ...
This company in Knoxville has weekends home.
Exactly, where are you in East Tennessee?
It's difficult to recommend companies if we don't know where you are located. We don't need your address, just the nearest town/city.Last edited: Apr 17, 2019

McElroy Truck Lines Inc. | Flatbed Truck Driving Jobs
This company is owned by Seventh Day Adventist and wants all their trucks off the road and the drivers at home on weekends.
They hire 21 yr. old new cdl graduates and will reimburse your cdl school tuition back to you up to $6000.00Last edited: Apr 17, 2019
Dave_in_AZ and Truckermania Thank this. -
How strong are you? If you aren’t a stranger to hard work, look into US Foods. It’s work, but it decent pay and you can be local.

Lots of flatbed Companies get you home on weekends. McElroy guarantees sometime weekends. Maverick will get you home most weekends. Bear in mind your weekend generally will just be a 34 hour reset. Best wishes to you!

Ummmm... ummmm... the trash company?
Let’s see... we got 7th day Adventist’s...
So... how about an Amish company? Their trucks are mainly one horsepower.
Seriously... you’re looking for a local company. One that doesn’t even think in “home time”. You’re always home. -
I don’t know if Danville, Virginia is too far for you, but J Rayl has a terminal there and does a good job of getting us home for the weekend.

Home on the weekend is normal practice as regional contracts are what most carriers rely on.
My problem is all the carriers near me are home every weekend.
I am the oddball who likes being out 2 weeks.Chinatown Thanks this.
