Depending on what state. Most just want your money and will change the speeding to log book violation or something so it won't show up on record. Provided you have no prior speeding. You do need a lawyer though.
Roadlaw and if they can't take it. I had to use interstate truckers for a lane violation. It was out of roadlaw area.
What companies take drivers with speeding tickets?

I'm confused (which isn't hard to do). -
Can you get an overweight ticket for 1 pound over on the axle weight or gross weight, it's possible. Do the authorities make their own life easier by enforcing the regs at some threshold above the legal maximum, usually.
Does "going with the flow" give more protection from speeding tickets than going at the speed limit, or within 5 mph of the speed limit?
Does telling a cop you weren't speeding ever prevent a speeding ticket?
Does telling a cop speeding tickets are unfair or too expensive prevent speeding tickets.
Does driving at the speed limit guarantee no speeding tickets? No. How many speeding tickets do you think are written by corrupt cops for vehicles doing the speed limit, a lot fewer than is claimed.
People use the excuses they are comfortable with to do the behavior they were going to do regardless of what that excuse is at the moment. How do I know this? When you demolish their excuse, do they change their behavior or change their excuse?Last edited: Jun 6, 2023
JMon Thanks this. -
Trooper asked me three weeks ago what my excuse was for not wearing my seatbelt. Told him I didn't have one, and if I did, it would be just that, an excuse. -
@tscottme
You're absolutely right, and I would have just let this go as the OP got good advice re lawyer, different company etc.
However making the statement that OP
chronically speeds, tailgates, clubs baby seals and other unsafe things and should be "Blackballed" just seems pretty judgemental to me.tscottme Thanks this. -

For some sick, twisted reason....whenever this topic comes up for discussion...it always reminds me of the song "Slow Ride!"....by the rock group "Foghat"...from back in the mid-1970s.
For those of us in the hazmat tanker world....it's really good advice....

If you think being judgmental is wrong isn't judging the other person's "judgmentalism" wrong? The road to bad behavior is paved with excuses and bad habits. A professional is one that controls their behavior and lives within rules of professional conduct. Would it be ok for a doctor or nurse to frequently spread infections because "hey, stuff happens"? Would it be OK for the doctor or nurse to stop washing their hands because even though they had washed their hands they once spread an infection anyway? Trucking may not be a professional field, but you don't need a permit or a license to choose to operate as a professional. Hold yourself to a higher standard, sometimes it even makes your life easier, you can sure sleep better at night when you don't have to worry about getting caught for the thing your shouldn't have been doing. I see rules as more like a guardrail while some others see them as the obstacle to go around. The people that climb around the tiger fence at the zoo just to pet the big kitty have nobody but themselves to blame for what happens next. Don't volunteer for a hard life. -
