Hey everyone I just got my CDL A in Denver Co. I have driven for a few companies as a taxi driver and shuttle driver but have never gone over the road. OTR seems perfect for me because I do not have a wife or kids and can really live in the truck and make it my life. I know there are a lot of companies to consider but I would really value the opinion of other experienced drivers as to what companies they like and why. Thanks for your input.
What company is the best for a new driver looking for OTR, Denver Co.

As an aside, It does not seem the problem can be that bad if the fine is only $81,000?? Your thoughts? I am not minimizing the severity of their actions, just wondering how pervasive it can be for that low of a fine. -
You're in Denver. There's a VERY busy Pilot truck stop on I-70 just east of downtown. Go there and talk to some drivers face to face. You can get some good info that way. Here's my short list however.
Crete Carriers
Con-Way Truckload
May Trucking
Watkins Shepard
Roehl
Schneider
If you want flatbed
Maverick
TMC
Melton
Roehl
BTC
Not sure if they all hire out of your area but use that phone and you can find out first hand.
Good luck.
Oh, and whatever you do, DON'T sign up for any lease deal with any company until you have a good year or two on the road.matherin Thanks this. -
