Make an honest assessment list of your personal requirements. Then speak to recruiters, review this forum, speak to other drivers.

Not all companies are equal. But each company offers something for everyone.

Be honest with YOUR requirements. Go from there.

What school are you going through? What companies hire from there?

I just hired with Schneider. You can go to thier site and apply to jobs that closely meet your requirements. In fact go surfing . AFTER hanging at a truckstop near you, to see what companies pass through your area.

You may want to look into companies that have park at home programs, if you're not near an OC. So you wont have to drive another few hours just to get home.

It's a toss up between swift and schneiders right now which could change. I'am 150mi SE of col OH. I found swifts pay scale and stuff but could not find one for schneiders. Anyone know how long you have to be with a trainer and the pay with schneiders.
