If you got your cdl in late May, became officially employed by a company, then went out with a trainer for a few weeks, got your own truck, then later had a 1 month gap in driving, where is the point you are considered to have 1 year of experience?

Most company's go by the hire in date, the time you spent with the trainer is still driving experience.
