Target DC DeKalb il. You pull through to your drop spot. Drop the trailer. Leave the DC for about three hours while the spotter puts it in a door and they unload. Wait another hour. I've never been out of a target in less than four hours... and it's always a half a trailer load. Makes for a nice long lunch though. Only places I have trouble with are the ones built for 45' trailers max.

I deliver to both of those DC's. I always see the guys having boxes hand loaded from the ceiling to the floor. And they'll have ten ramps. Seeing that makes me glad to have a no touch job.

Well, since Werner changed the pay structure...
3 loads a week / 750 miles plus load pay grosses me $1200.
Home every weekend for reset now.
The other day I had visitors. Walking around downtown Salem it hurt like hell. I was walking like one of those old guys you see coming out of a large car. Bull legged and can't walk.
    F that.
I'll get exerciseand see home weekly

    'We know'.
It's great seeing some of the Flatbed Guys backup at the TS's.

^^^ That's a good one! Hauling tanks, home daily, I don't have to back much, either. When winter comes in Ohio, and I do FlatBed for UPC in the offseason, I'll admit, I am a little rusty, LOL!

Wait, are you talking about flatbedders trying to get into a 90° back with no room in front with a spread axle? For newbies, pay close attention when you see a spread axle get into a tight 90° slot. It may take a six point turn. We can't get into a 90° jacknife unless we have a dump valve on the front or rear axle. Get into a 90° jacknife with a full load and you can destroy an entire set of trailer tires in one back. I witnessed a guy blow three tires right off the rim at a tight customer yard.

^^^^^ Tis why I respect the HELLOUTTAYOUGUYS. Read my post on the last thread I posted and confessed my lack of finesse.
Seriously, you guys are amazing..... been driving for 34 years and can't hold a candle to y'all. I've seen some of these maneuvers back in the 90's and 2000's, when I was still OTR, and all I could do was try to spot; and buy one of your dinner at a Subway.
I pulled doubles for Fedex/Linehaul back in '04 before they 'really sucked' and only did it a year, due to the teaming part sucked......and moved on to more OTR before I got 'lucky' hauling asphalt, basically local. I'll take the surge and the hot anyday, over what you guys do.
