What device do you use for trucking purpose?

Hello truckers, I'm working on a report about truckers and technology they use. I need some info about what kind of device do you guys use for trucking purpose (navigation etc).
It would be very helpful, thank you

 

This is not going to tell you a lot with the etc.

I have a RandMcNally GPS for well GPS...
For everything else I will use my Android Phone.
PFJ app,
Occasional Sat View stuff like that.
But primary GPS is my Rand Unit

 

Rand McNally TND 540 LM gps
Roav C2 Pro dashcam
Bluetooth headset
A handful of apps

 

iPhone for communication

Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy for directions.

Android to live stream

Qualcomm to give me bad directions and piss me off from the weekend DM’s

Windows based laptop for business

Driver trainee to make me rich and so I poop my pants.

Fleshlight to check my 5th wheel.

And an Aeropress to make coffee.

 

SMH you check your 5th wheel with a... never mind

 

LOL. Too many jokes to make, and I’ve got just right lack of class to make them.

 

Does your trainee read ttr? If so don’t be surprised if he’s looking at you funny.

 

Hahahahaha. Not this one. Some of the others do. There’s no reason this can’t be fun.

 

All these electronic aids are for those whose capacity for independent critical thinking has proliferated quite a bit since my time. Just never really related to trucking but made to work with it.

Google earth is my favorite. We had a thread talking about US 33 in WVa once weeks ago and I did a survey of that pass and found it adequate for fair weather trucking but essentially closed in winter storms.

 

Samsung S9 plus, and a Garmin GPS both.
