best I can give is at close of 1st quarter , I was on track at the lowest rate for 80k. I have now received the first incremental increase at 6 months with the company as well as the regularly scheduled fleetwide annual increase. Which equals a total of .03cpm and a bump in hourly pay. I have yet to really see a check under the new rate that reflects the 2500 mile week the company hopes to provide each linehaul driver. That comes on next weeks check.
Regardless , coming from SNI at .38cpm on a dedicated position, I gave myself a 30k raise to start when I made the jump to here.
What did you make your first year doing ltl linehaul?

I don't know what part of TN you're in, but Dayton Freight has terminals in Memphis and Nashville now. Just an idea if Saia doesn't work out. -

My first year in Linehaul/LTL was only a half year because I started in June. So cant really count that with earning for 6 months out of the year.
My first full year was $58,900 AND we missed 20 something days due to high winds on Elk Mountain and snow that closed the roads down or cancelled my run.
On pace to make $70K this year. -
I heard about parts of SoCal raising the poverty standards there. Someone really needs to neuter these real-estate goons before they go too over the top.
Anywho, these figures of 67k and up still sound pretty attractive for the work entailed and such. Highest I've heard of anyone bringing in on the milk loading is just shy of $57k. If you're running 6-8 dairies a night and fudging logs. I'm still waiting on approval from a couple of places. Need to head up and get a medical done at another later. -
So I did some math. I'm in the middle of our payscale (1 year rate) and on track for $87k. At top rate (2 years for us), running the same will yield $93k. I've got about a month to go to top out. I'm more than slightly excited about that.
road_runner and bentstrider83 Thank this.
