Well It seems you have a pretty good outlook on life and just brushed it off, but I would've raised hell about it. I think alot of these schools have it easy, sucking jobless people and the government out of money, I think alot stricter rules should be imposed upon them. I never worked a job where I could take two hour breaks and text message all darn day.

Our intsructors were very serious and attentive, I only recall an instructor using his phone once, he got a text when his grandchild was born. He told us right out he may get a text that day and why. We only had 3 students per instructor.
However, we as students were encouraged to try and help the other students when in the lot backing or in the shifting circle. Because it helped us in learning as well. When we were on the streets, we weren't allowed to talk, so as not to distract the driver and intructor.
I was the only girl, However, I was treated with respect from the other students and all the staff at the school.

well, I had another issue that was a bit more important than that. I was the only lady in the class. I stayed away from the guys when they were having their little "talks" so no one would have an issue. Not me or them. One of the guys on my truck was a smart mouth jerk. He had his back to me and was talking about women. The guys kept tellling him I was back there. I kept moving away, they kept gravitating toward me. To make a long story short, he turned around and made a lame apology. I told him if I thought he was sincere I would accept it but since he wasn't... I walked away, he called me a bi**h to my back. I confronted him in front of everyone, he said it to my face and then told me I ought to tell on him. So, I did... He was in a lot of trouble, the school had a zero tolerence for that kind of stuff. He had to apoligize in front of the staff. Then instead of letting it go, on the way out of the building, he said the guys made him do it. It was their fault. What a fool, lol.

I am serious... I had no clue. Not wanting to be insulting, I just don't pay much attention to people gender.... Unless their user name is obvious like Texas-Nana & the likes of the short bus crowd!

From what I saw today...They don't teach anyone how to chain up and get 'em tight.

Every Swift (Sorry Nana) that passed me today had loose chains beating the hell out of their trucks and trailers! Chains so loose that you could see them flapping around.

A few of the other bottom feeder companies were doing it too but today Swift (Sorry Nana) was the worst!

There wasn't a chain to be seen where I went to school and not a mention (that I can remember anyway) of anything about them.

I've never paid attention to avatars... And unless it's a real good argument, I don't read threads thoroughly. I just glance thru them looking for a opportunity to high-jack them.

    blackW900....

When I went thru training they spent all of 3 hours teaching us how to chain up.... That was 10 years ago & I have never thrown iron other then that time.
