Back in the mid 90s there was a period of time I used to run 4k every week and never leave ohio indiana illinois and michigan. Obviously it was on paper and the log book got rewritten at the end of every day. Got no more than 3 or 4 hours of sleep a day. And I'm fairly certain i had a nervous breakdown or two from sleep deprivation after six months of that.

4000?
Try 7400. LA out to Avenel Jersey sun to tues pm, drop. Hook back to LA friday PM. Team. It's mind bending. But stick to it.
Ive done 4000 in a week, but no log book will support that. In fact I hold two records for myself anyhow.. one from Seattle WA to Boston, load of Yakima Onions in 3 days and change and another roughly a 2700 mile run from Garden City KS to Sacremento minus a 18 hour sleeper stretch in Bakersfield in three days.
Over night it's Lancaster PA to Red River Oklahoma 1500 miles with government aluminum coil. I made it that monday morning with 7 minutes to spare.
None of these things are ... possible today legally. It's just that everything depends on the freight getting there because if it does not, many tens of thousands of people might not have meat that day in the city or a factory would stop. THAT might disrupt a Nation. So risking Out of Service and large fines was part of the run.
Yes Ive been caught a time or two. That is where the savings come in so it's easily paid for and move on after the 10 or 24 hour shutdown.stacks Thanks this. -
I could run 4000 and make it look legal(ish). Newark, NJ to Elkhart, IN. and back 3 times. It's about 1400 miles each trip and takes about 22.5-23 hours logbook time so it would be bumping up against 70. I've done it twice in a week plenty of times. 3 would be a very long week but certainly possible.

Day 7 was 508 miles, from TA Beto Junction to Dixon, IL and I had 10ish minutes left on my 70.
Yes I know I went over my drive time one day slightly, off with my head.Attached Files:
