Hauled a reefer load for uber and the reciever put back a 80cases (full pallet) because of overages, this happened last Friday and I’ve contacted uber and they told me they’re waiting answer from the customer, it’s now past noon on Monday and I’m still waiting for them to call me or email me on what to do, this entire time my reefer is till on. I canceled 2 loads and looks like I’ll be sitting today too, any suggestions?

Was the count on the BOL accurate of what they took off the truck?

If they signed for it, then it could be just ... yours.

    What is it?

Yes they noted it on the bill, they received what they were supposed to receive and put the extra 80 cases back on the trailer.

Offer to take it to an LTL carrier and send it back to the shipper.

No doubt they have an account so they can call ahead of time to take care of paperwork.

I sent 3 pallets back once from Chicagoland to Dallas.

If they want it back they'll pay to have it shipped back. If not, they can donate it to a church or the Salvation Army.

    Ssgtkevin and Siinman Thank this.

Just relax and stay in contact with Uber. They handle things pretty well and will compensate you for layover time.

They have in the past paid me much more than what was stated in my original contract with them.

Shipper could possibly be trying to find a buyer in your area. You aren’t going to hit the lottery but you will get decent compensation.

I had it happen once with a giant pallet of snickers ice cream bars. Took a couple days and they finally told me I needed to donate it to a food bank or bring it to a landfill..receipt required.

Yah it blows but just have to deal with it.

    Liquid Egg yolks
Here’s the problem, the only answer I’m getting is “ we’re waiting for the customer on disposition”, I’m wondering if theyre even sending the correct email to the customer, at what point can I take my own action without being legally being held accountable for this pallet, its 80 big cases of liquid eggs and I’m guessing it’s in the 7k ball park
