what do i need to know about tmc roadtest

I don't think that TMC does much heavy haul out of California. I only got to CA twice in a year and a half, but it is a long way from Maine. Once I took some Plastic pipe out from Salt Lake city, and the second time I took some roofing from MO. Both times I brought steel coils back out.

How about Georgia? Does TMC keep drivers busy south of Atlanta? I live in Thomaston Ga. With my previous employer(which I just turned in the truck Last Friday) we had a big account with Miller Brewery out of Albany Ga. There is a Pilot truckstop across the street where I would fuel up and hit the cat scales. Anyways, I saw a TMC driver parked for his 10 hour sleeper break. He was sitting in the driver seat so I pulled up beside him and got out and had a great 30 minute conversation with him. I don't remember his name but he has been with them 9 years. I told him him I was heading home up Hwy 19 north to Thomaston. And he said that the load of 2x4s on his trailer were picked up in Thomaston Ga. I know exactly where the lumber yard is in Thomaston. When I say south of Atlanta I don't really mean south of Atlanta. Im only 45 minutes south of Atlanta. So anywhere around Atlanta is good for me.I don't refuse loads. I'll pick up and deliver wherever TMC needs me. I believe if you turn down loads you are shooting yourself in the foot. Dispatch wont forget that I turned down a load that they needed me to run and I will more than likely get crappy loads after that.
