    Hi all,

I am just a regular (non trucker) on the road. I just got a CB, but I wanted to reach out to you all and ask what communication devices do you most use these days? Ham,cb,phone, vhf/uhf, frs, satellite......

My purpose for asking is to understand what way someone like myself can best get information on the highway and be in the loop for what is passed a long should there be an accident or road detour....

    Thank you for any insight!

    Just passing by Thanks this.

Basically nothing nowadays. Most drivers are stuck up driving in their own little world oblivious to the hazards ahead of them.
Personally I still use the CB channel 19 in most regions.

I never use a cb because I don't like talking to truck drivers....
We normally use these new devices called cell phones to talk to each other...

    Duh...

Do you have the phone number for the JB Hunt truck going the opposite direction that just blew a tire on his tandem? I tried to call 411 to get his phone number but they told me they couldn't help me with that information.
