You can't always tell, especially if it's on the inside rear of the trailer.

Odds are if he did have a radio you would get the atypical truckers response

"Hey you drive your truck and I will drive mine"

I really wish the idiots saying that actually knew how to drive their truck;)

The CB radio is pretty much useless nowadays.

You cannot turn it on without listening to a bunch of garbage or truckers tales .. any information is useless because you can never trust the person giving it.

As far as helping other drivers goes... Everyone today has a cellphone and some sort of satellite communication with their company so they dont need help.

The CB is usually quiet until traffic is backed up.

i still use smoke signals, and if that doesn't work, i use a finger or two, or three, but no more than four.

on a lighter side, i still use a good old fashion cb.....it's on a very long string, and a cup at each end. i do at times have trouble hearing people, when someone runs over the string.

seriously, an ordinary out of the box cb radio.

Bummer to hear the trucking community isn't sounding so helpful driver to driver.

Does anyone use HAM much? Is accessing others easy by this route?

Where do you drive that you need a sat phone?
Just curious, as I can only think of one stretch of road that would make me consider one: BC37.
