Good time of day everyone, I do realize this is probably not the typical thread for this community and I might not be the typical member, however I am someone is for some to looking for owner operators for a new carrier, and at some point I realized that neither me nor my partners who are in the transportation business in Europe but a trying to get in to the US field have a very vague Idea of what a owner operator might want from their carrier and what would be the reasonable services and general offers that a carrier could provide to acquire and more importantly keep happy their owner operators .
Like I previously stated, I understand this is not the typical question, but non the less I would be extremely grateful for some pointers.
    Thank you.
    truckdriver31 Thanks this.

A nice facility, percentage pay, freedom to choose loads, fuel and tire discounts, minimal paperwork, to name a few. An organization called NASTC might have some good resources for you. They do have a modest annual fee, but they're friendly and will be happy to answer some preliminary question so you can see if it's a good fit.

Since you operate in Europe, the opertunity to drive there. If you have an office, staff that answer the phone and operate well under pressure in an emergency situation. Pays when the paperwork is turned in, Paper LOGs, Non forced dispatch. The highest Rates, best Agents. An office in Chicago.

#1 thing for owner op is probably going to be consistently good high paying loads, followed closely by consistent preplanned loads. Those two together make us money.
Nothing is more demotivating than delivering and having to wait 4 hours before you find the next load.

You will find quite a few people here are not happy hearing broken english when they call the office. So whoever is answering the phones NEEDS to have a good command of the english language. (Or whatever language the driver speaks) it will make explaining things much easier

Full transparency on how a load is making them money if the load doesnt seem to make sense from the start
    feldsforever and slow.rider Thank this.

I’d start with not having anyone with an Eastern European accent talk on the phone to the drivers.
There’s just so so many super sketchy former Soviet communist Slavic that cheat the owner operators , that most just assume when they hear the accent , their paycheck is going to come up short.
