What Do Prospective Trucking Employers Check? How?

You’re implying they’re just looking for warm bodies, people with a pulse?

I’m already at a company that pays mediocre and is in the process of trying to sift a few with a pulse out of the chaff that seems to be so common. Now about 1 out of 3 trailers I pickup was dropped by some ####### at a receiver with serious issues. Then I have to take my time to go get it fixed.

In like to do a little better than just breathing! That seems to be the problem with many of my new ‘coworkers’ which are mostly temporary. They aren’t doing much but just breathing!!! ‍♂️

But, truth is, I may just end up settling to get on a local route.

 

I don’t mean any disrespect to the career lifers; but, God, I hope I’m not resigned to 45 more years!!!

Then again, I may have found a spot where I can make better money with a more regular sleep schedule. Life is unpredictable. I very much like not having a boss hovering over me like with so many other jobs. We’ll see!!!
