Home in Maine is cheaper. Granted you must buy the home. Taxes per year are around $1200 on 5 acres of land and that is with a home and barn/garage.

I own a house where I keep all my stuff. I even get to sleep in it every now and then. A small house. No frills. Simple. Inexpensive. Perfect. Debt free again soon and back to 3 days a week. Hell. Yeah.

I would never live in T.O again, if I ever return to Ontario. The cost of living there was (is) outrageous...

Yes sir... Going home every weekend may work fine... when one has someone else to take care of the home and do the cooking and the cleaning and the shopping and everything else... :biggrin_25519:

On my first 6 months trucking I got a room mate to live in my rented apartment... so we would split the rent and he would pay the utilities and I was hoping he would keep the place neat and clean... wishful thinking though...
Yeah.. he would pay the utilities and split the rent but wouldn't clean and wasn't careful with my things, my furniture, etc....
I would have to clean my place every time I went home... :biggrin_1square8:
And I had to do my own shopping, my cooking, my laundry, pay my bills, this and that... there wasn't enough time to rest and anything else... So I got rid of the place...

x1Heavy, diesel drinker and bzinger Thank this.
