700xxx miles my Crapcadia blew up.
    Good luck.

I suggest get out while you still can.

Even before my engine died all the scrappy plastic parts constantly were going out of me.
Was going crazy from the repairs.

That would be one good run for a supersize. Ha ha Ha. I am sure it was well worth it in your set up once we see that $10 a mile Rate Con.

It does, Blowby is measured at peak load when there is a lot of pressure in the cylinders, which always gets past the rings, the amount of pressure, that pressurizes the crankcase so that is what is measured. Each engine manufacturer has set numbers for each model engine, when it meets or exceeds the pressure, it is time to put new rings in or new liners/pistons and rings.

Blowby is not vapor coming out of the draft tube when it is idling, that shows just vapor heating up and being pushed out.

The HP part of the dyno can show other problems, for instance, bad injectors. The numbers also vary but it is generally for a used engine you want at least 85% of the rated HP, most will come close but when it drops it could be an easy fix or complicated one - like just doing an Overhead.

I agree, this is where you can either just dump a dependable truck and get an unknown or rebuild what you have.

Believed it or not I’am familiar with the principles of a dyne and how it works
What I was saying is IMHO blow by should be the 1st concern the 2nd think would be the HP producing and make your determination

815k? Spend more $$ than the Trucks worth. Run it at least 2-3 more years trying to justify the money spent. Maybe a couple more years trying to save $$ for a newer Truck. By then the Trucks 15 yrs old. Everything’s been replaced. And it’s still only worth $10k or less. Having 0 payments only pays off if you can run it at least a couple more years before a major catastrophe. I say upgrade now, while you’re ahead, 480k, 5 yrs old? 3 yr plan? Back in the same boat. Maybe worse. Go for something newer. Run the numbers. Include fuel mileage and extra insurance costs. Right Truck right price, better in the long run. Try to be paid off under 700k miles. Sooner the better. Keep upgrading ASAP. Try to avoid the major problems while still owing $$$. That’s a trap that many get caught up in. A nice 2-3 yr old Truck with 200-300k for half the price of equivalent new Trucks. Might just be better off in 3-5 yrs from now. Avoid being stuck with a Truck longer than you want to be. It never ends well.

Running an old truck is not for everyone, in fact, I’m convinced you have to be fcked up in the head, 2016 is nothing special, it required emissions equipment and an elog, +1 to dumping it while you can, even 2019 is already 5-6 years old, I might even start kicking tires on new if you aren’t in a total rush, though now that you jinxed yourself by bringing it up I would start looking a little harder
