Highly unlikely. Back in those days manual slack adjusters were still fairly common. Truck drivers back then had to do a little more than hold the wheel and select drive/reverse.

How do you spot hub oil seal leaks on the steers?
If the drives have disc brakes (I don't know if the type of brakes changes anything or not), how do you spot hub oil seal leaks on the drives? -

I am at a terminal right now. I just checked the brakes of several trailers. All of my company's trailers that I have checked so far have drum brakes.
