When I was hauling rail cans out of Chicago in the early 90's, a guy leased on to our company had a stretched 362 Pete. It was maroon, and I thought for a second, this may have been it, but this guy's was much fancier. He had chrome on every nut and bolt. Him and I with my '72 ( in avatar) were quite a site going around the scales. If a cop saw us, it was pretty obvious what we were doing, but again, the CB radio. We weren't the only ones going around the scale, so we knew where the cops were.
As far as backing in, my '72 was a 262 wb, and had manual steering and many times I had to request a dock with an empty dock on each side, 'cause I just couldn't get 'er in there. More than once, I had to pay the yard horse guy $20 bucks to get my wagon in a door.
What do you call it when they customize their truck to have an extra long catwalk?

I’m not one for big sleepers, but if I had your rig and did what you do, I would bring the bike with me. I would never go home and haunt the two lane highways for all eternity.
Well, the bike and a custom built gun safe.PoleCrusher, Slowpoke KW, Grubby and 4 others Thank this. -

I just said they aren't very practical (utilitarian), in many a case.
Then a few of the guys here got bent because they figured I called their wiener small - and here we are. Lol. Says something when you've gotta defend your 'manhood' on the internet. *rolls eyes*alds Thanks this. -
Then what does it say when someone resorts to ad hominem attacks because they like a certain style truck? How far out the window does your theory go if I told you I drive a Cascadia daycab and before that, a Volvo daycab?
It’s not defending anyone’s manhood on the inter webs, it’s pointing out how trite and completely absurd it is to say someone is compensating by stretching a truck frame. It doesn’t take an Intro to Logic course to see that. I have grown up around trucks all my life, trucks are my passion, and custom long hoods will always be my preference over plastic junk.
