So I pulled the new Pete 359 out of the shop for a ride around the block last weekend. I ran it up through the gears and then rested my right elbow on the armrest and my elbow fell to the floor. What no armrest? Is this normal? How do you guys cope? This won't do.
what do you do for an arm rest in a 359?

Start leaning to the Left. LOL

Whoever manufactured the seat will have them... Should be a easy installation

Wouldn't bother me any. I don't use either armrest. Might use the window sill sometimes, but never the right one. I hang my safety vest on it

Yeah I never used the arm rest. The shifter was my arm rest. Feel on the side for a hole (pipe end) they might have it setup for an add on. That truck just has a cheaper version seat that got upholstered over. If not they sell aftermarket armrests.

When you go from the seat to the bunk you will see some of the reason. Armrest are only 2 inches thick but thats 4 inches total in a narrow opening. My truck has the high back Peterbilt seats, I took both armrest off to make it easier for my big butt to get back there. I agree with the others thou most seats have an armrest boss already in place and threaded.
My daily driver is a 359, wouldn't trade it for the world. It isn't as comfortable as some, not quite as nice as the honeymoon sweet at the Hilton for sure. Trucking is work and a 359 will remind you of that, course that is what I like about mine.TruckDuo Thanks this. -
I have a freightliner that has both armrests. Earlier this year, the right armrest broke (the peg that stops it snapped clean off). Been thinking about backing out the stud and putting a new one in. But, honestly, got used to not having an arm rest on the right side now. So, not sure if I'll fix it or not. Though I kept wanting to put the arm rest down every time I sat down in the seat. Took a while to break that habit, though.
