After experiencing first-hand how the truck I was driving reacted to the grooving in the pavement, I wouldn't automatically blame a driver. If it weren't for the truck being governed, I might have put it in the ditch. ####, that was scary as heck! Suddenly feels like the steers are on ice, and I start swerving back and forth. Thought I had blown a tire.Lepton1 Thanks this.

This would be how I'd do it.
One correction I must add though. He doesn't raise the suspension. He raises the fifth wheel, since it's hydraulic.
Of course, after you get back out from under the trailer, you have to remember to back under it with the fifth wheel raised higher than it was the first time, or you'll repeat your mistake.RedRover, milehunter43 and Lepton1 Thank this. -
What fun is a mistake if you can't repeat it?

I did it once one night. Tilted it opposite way and stuck a soda can under to keep level and pulled out easy.

I've seen trailers with two holes in the front where somebody stabbed the 5th wheel through the front the trailer.
This reminds me of a guy that was parking on our lot, making it hard for our trucks to get in and out. I ran him off and told him not to park there (our private property) but about a week latter he dropped his trailer in the same spot. I went out there and ran his landing gear all the way down (loaded). Needless to say, he didn't drop a trailer there anymore.RedRover Thanks this. -
Lol did the same the other night but used a crow bar to keep it level and dropped the bags.akfisher Thanks this.

We have a few like that. I can't imagine how hard they must've been hit.Bean Jr. Thanks this.
