What do you do if you go past weigh station?

The few times I missed a weigh station, I stopped on the shoulder just past the scale house, in case they were going to chase me. I sat there for 10 minutes and then left when there was no one coming after me. I once accidentally missed the MD scale house on I-495, the next time I missed it "by accident".

Get in the right lane before the scale house and don't pass until you pass the in-ramp.

There used to be only one sign warning of the scale on the inner loop. After New Hampshire Ave there wasn’t one, so if you got on there you had some plausible deniability. I’ve skipped it that way before with no repercussions.

There’s a sign after New Hampshire Ave now.

Pssss, don't tell anybody this, but I used to "miss" the Maryland coops on the DC Beltway a lot. The way that thing was made the coop could not see the Beltway. I later learned most of the time during the day nobody was watching the video feed.

There could also be chase cars on the turnoffs, IF they have the manpower to spare. I don’t recall ever seeing any though.

Ya’ll act like it’s a huge accomplishment and deserve a cookie or a pat on the back when you run a scale and didn’t get caught lmao

Hammer Down!! I’ve missed quite a few. Been chased down twice. Hope Arkansas made me go back and weigh, then cut me a break. The best memory is in Michigan. Just back from vacation, bobtailing to p/u a load. I saw the arrow, but slowly crawled away. Lol. Hadn’t done my log book. Chased me down. I blamed it on sun glare. Asked for log book. Told him I just got back from vacation at Disneyland, Running late and didn’t have time. I told the truth, it paid off. He started talking about his family vacation at Disneyland. It was strange. Like I’d made a new friend. Lol. Let me go. I left still running off log.

Funny story, my first time out west, started making good time and seen all the backs of these trailers, so I got in the left lane and flew by them - with a sinking feeling in my gut when I got right beside the Scale house, about that time my trainer pops out of the sleeper and Said what the hell did you just do? Me: I dunno, I'm the greenhorn, you're the trainer. Got lucky and no chase cars came after us. Hey, got an excellent spot at the truck stop! LoL
