dude...it don't matter..when YOU ARE A COMPANY DRIVER, they give you a credit card for fuel..what part of that do you not understand...??

as company drivers we have to go where our company TELLS US TO GO....what problem do you have understanding that...??

as an o/o you are "FREE" to go to ANY fuel stop you wish to go to...

so what does changing carriers have to do with "suck it up and deal with it" go to do with buying fuel...??

in posting NUMBER 5 i said it can take "up to" 1.5 HOURS to get fuel, then you spewed off saying you don't go to a big truck stop, you go else where's.....then you spew off about it not being lucky or some other half-brained dialog.....what on God's good earth do you not understand...about taking time to fuel and what that has to do with whether one is a COMPANY DRIVER or an o/o...?????

i think you need to go back to posting number one and start READING all over again....

no way, no how......i call BS on the 2 million miles...and furthermore, driving a truck and the RESPONSIBILITIES associated with truck driving is a whole new world to you, that you ain't experienced yet. i can assure you that driving in "bumper to bumper traffic" will take on a whole new meaning, especially if you get WAY TOO CLOSE to the car in front of you..you ain't gonna like get a ticket for following too closely or get accused of rear-ending someone....and if you think construction zones are interesting, just wait till you're in one with a big truck and speed up a bit, in fact, i think a member here had a thread where he did just that, and got himself a nice ticket too...

enjoy yourself..?? sure you can, with-in the confines of the area in which you are parked, like a rest area, truck stop, shopping mall parking lot...and please, do take MORE THAN one minute to shower...doing logs, fueling, takes you all of 35 minutes...?? i do not believe this either, you ain't even a driver, and already you got it all down..??? yeah, technology...GP friggin S is going to always be there and save your arse...call me when you get lost, or take a right turn off that bridge....

again, you are a dreamer...you ain't gonnabe ,making that kind of money, please tell me how, when so many other newbies are sitting for periods of time, as well as experienced drivers, all waiting on loads..you ain't getting a lecture, what you are getting is some facts, but you just don't want to hear those, you only want to hear what you want to hear about your dreams.

again..good luck with getting your time off each and every time you request it...

tv, video games, movies, are the norm...so what if the tv is stolen...?? this speaks volumes of the character you DO NOT HAVE.....

some do have work out rooms, so do not, but in a building nearby there could be one available, which has windows for you to see if your truck leaves the truck stop with out you...

well i'm glad i reminded you about leaving the truck unattended, see, you have your ideas of fun, yet you totally lacked any sense of responsibility, you still think trucking is a game..???

true, many of us sleep only a few hours. but you have reading to do, talking with other drivers at the lounge, or at the loading docks, so you can occupy your time constructively. you ain't gonna enjoy too much about driving cross country, remember, it's a JOB that must get done. sure you can stop every once in a while to take pics of something, but do not forget, you have appointments you MUST keep.

not all companies allow pets. not all companies allow a rider, groceries can be bought at many Wally-Worlds

you will wish you did not get into this industry, you think right now that you are gong to have all sorts of freedom and money, boy i wish you well with that wet dream...it's WORK, pure, plain and simple...you don't do it right..?? you get fired... you get into an accident, EVERYTHING had better be in order or you're going down hard, maybe even jail...

there ain't no FUN of it being a pain or hard work.....

yeah, you're a newbie, with ideas that just are not too "in the know" of the REAL world of trucking....oh and one more thing, in another posting of yours you said there are golf courses that HAVE TRUCK PARKING...??

well....maybe "miniature golf courses" do......or a few and FAR between public ones, but good luck being in THAT area when you're driving a big truck....

You are the one who needs to work on your reading comprehension skills. I was once a company driver, so I know full well how that works. If you don't like someone telling you where to fuel, DO something about it! You do realize that not EVERY company limits your fueling options, don't you? I've worked for companies that the ONLY restriction I had in fueling their truck was whether or not the fuel stop accepted their fuel card as a means of payment...and if not, I could still pay cash or use my own credit card, submit the receipt, and be reimbursed on my next check. I've also worked for companies that gave me a regular old Visa card with the company's name on it, to use for fuel or any other truck expense...lights, oil, antifreeze, washer fluid, truck washes, etc...and I could fuel up wherever I wanted to. Those companies DO exist.

And if you can't find one of those companies to work for, buy your own #### truck.

If you don't like the situation you are in, either suck it up and deal with it, or do something about it. Nobody is holding a gun to your head FORCING you to remain employed at your current carrier. If waiting an hour to get to a fuel pump isn't acceptable, go work for a company that gives you more fueling options...or buy your own truck. It really is that simple. I get tired of hearing people ##### and moan about how bad their life is when all they have to do is get off their ### and DO something about it to make it better. If you don't care about yourself enough to try to improve your own situation, nobody else will either. Part of the reason a lot of these companies get away with some of the BS they pull is because drivers LET them.

OK....gonna climb back down off that soap box for a while.

then you are the lucky one to have a company visa or master card...i always had the fuel card only, nothing else, and if YOU wish to use YOUR credit card for THE COMPANY, go right ahead.....that's your choice, i will NOT use MY CREDIT CARD for company purchases...

and why should I BUY my own #### truck..?? to satisfy you and your way of doing things..?? and by the way, IT IS NOT that simple to go out and buy a truck, excellent credit or not, why should i put myself in a hole, just to have purchasing options for fuel...?? i think you need to get off your high horse and come back down to earth, that is of course if you can, since you are a high powered o/o and all....and if you are an o/o, why are you here on these boards, instead of on the road, choosing a fueling place..?? not that busy are you...??

at least I GOT a good excuse for being here, it's called "being injured on the job"...
