I talked to the school and they said closed toe so I just wanted to make sure I don't need to buy any steel toe boots right now.

That's a good idea, I have never tried that...

How does that work in the winter time? Can't imagine those keeping your hands warm...

The leather type gloves I buy in a pack of 15 pairs runs about $1.75 per pair...

Do NOT wear steel toed boots or even heavy works shoes! Learning to drive is easier in light shoes that you can feel your feet in.

I've never honestly cared about keeping my hands warm while fueling. Doesn't take long enough. But the disposable gloves do prevent you from bringing fuel soaked gloves back into the cab. YMMV.

Back in my team driving year, we went to terminal for upgrade test. Co driver shows up in flip flops. I told him you can't test in those. He looked at me like I was an idiot.

Guess what ? Instructor , we called him chicken hawk lol, said you can't test in those shoes. Stuck at terminal whole extra day.

Thanks for all the input guys. I'm just going to use Sneakers in school and wait until I start working to get a pair of Steel Toes.
