If you open the link and look at the map, all of Canada is shown as their territory.

IMG_1685.jpeg Only good snake is a dead snake.
Ran across the little feller a month or so back. I tried to bash his head in, but my aim was a little off with all the shaking and what not

So far, nobody is talking about killing a few and eating them. Some of our elders think rattlesnake is a delicacy. If you go to their house and they serve up a plate of sliced snake it's considered poor manners to refuse.
I tried it. It doesn't taste like chicken but it's not bad either.

Discharging a firearm on an oilfield location is a really bad idea. That, and every operator I've ever heard of doesn't allow firearms on their locations.

I break that rule every day. Of course I don’t advertise it. I’d be shaking so bad I wouldn’t be able to shoot. Probably just throw the gun at the snake and run away screaming….maybe crying a little.

I was refraining from going there. But since you mention it why does everyone say that something you never had or might be hesitant to try tastes like chicken?

From what I've read they haven't really been seen much north of Trochu, which is down around Red Deer.

A .22 with rat shot won’t hardly penetrate a Copenhagen lid, but will dispatch a snake. I doubt it’ll hurt anything else out there.
I’d personally go with a .410 snake charmer though

dwells40 and Deere hunter Thank this.
