Because they've never had it or they were so drunk at the time they couldn't tell chicken from shoe leather.
Just for a comparison we cooked up a rattle snake and a big bull snake. Neither one tasted like chicken...and we were sober. Mostly.

I’m certainly not an expert, but I wouldn’t think that would be likely. Be a good episode of myth busters. If there were that many flammable vapors floating around the truck engine would suck them up and run away. Not to mention electricity issues that would be caused.

    Look again.
The light green is it's range within the eastern side of lake Huron, north side of lake Erie, western tip of lake Ontario and northern side of Georgian bay and within 100 miles of each. in Canada.
In western Canada we have the western rattlesnake mostly in the southern Okanogan and the prairie rattlesnake south in the foothills and prairie areas of the north Saskatchewan river in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

They do range up to the North Saskatchewan river but the numbers drop significantly north of the Red Deer river

2004, I just used a machete and reduced his overall length.

Want to have some fun…? Remove its head and toss the head over yonder some where away from the body.

Then slowly remove the rattlers from the body, can be so entertaining lol….

Don't know if it's still the case, but intake shutdown systems were once fairly prevalent in trucks around production sites. At least in the big oil private fleets.

The production equipment is supposed to strip most of the entrained gas out, but...

Those intake air shutoff valves are pretty much required by most companies around here. Every diesel powered vehicle I've driven or worked on in the mines or patch had to have it. Some even want automatic ones that'll shutdown if it detects overspeed. Usually use a CANBUS connection or are wired in to a speed sensor.

Interesting. Like I said I’m no expert. I figure it’s always a possibility just wondering how probable.
