What do you guys get for meal allowances on overnight runs?

    everyone is different and everyone's body has different needs. younger more active people their bodies may require more food. certain people who have harder time absorbiing nutrients may need more food.

    but where i live even if you are one of them people who barely eats, you can't live off of 200 or 300 a month on food. maybe, if they ate solely most bottom of the barrell types of food, even then, that much money won't cover a months worth of food where i live.

    where i live the value of the dollar is so inflated.

    It's been awhile, but when I left them in 2016, Oak Harbor Freight Lines paid a $12 meal allowance, depending on location of layover though it could be $16, for bay area layovers they paid $16 for a example, another outfit here in Arizona I worked for called CTI they are based in Rillito paid $20 a day for per diem or meal allowance which ever you want to call it, I work for Saia now and they don't pay you anything for layovers, however I make substantially more with Saia than I did with those two outfits so no big deal.

    when our line haul does a lay over its like 100 bucks and 30 for food
