    Why so negative?

To me, you come across as someone who lost it as an O/O because expenses caught you unprepared

I'd have to agree...and why does he think rates are so low? He obviously doesnt know how to look outside the box. My average rates are $15.10/mile to the truck, and I pull a 3 axle trailer hauling liquid bulk offroad. Maybe he expects more then that...I dunno. I am not greedy to think that is a low rate, but some could be.

I think it is a good price on a looks like good truck. the detroit should give you good m.p.g. repairs & parts are very reasonable & readily available. i would be my choice if I were looking. pre e.g.r. mean a lot. just a replacement turbo for that truck WITHOUT a core you can get for under $600 with a newer engine you could easily get into over $1500

one thing to consider if you are going to finance a truck.

As I was told by several finance companies.

We won't finance trucks older than 9 years old. It's just not worth the risk. The equipment is too old, too many miles and too unreliable.

What if there are documents showing that there was a major engine rebuild in the last 200,000 miles?

    We might consider it then.

They wont finance because older trucks are unreliable?? They should pull their head outa their ### so they can breath! Take a look at every truck shop n how many older trucks do you see in there compared to new ones....
