    Why is so many people pessimistic? I know there's many who fail but why is that... Everyone is different and operates their own way and has a different set of expenses. Ya if you have a $1400 truck payment and a $600 trailer payment,($24000/yr) that eats away at profit. Now if you own the truck out right that's extra money in your pocket. And if something happens to the truck, you can just park it and your not going broke in the mean time because there's no payments.

    buddyvuk Thanks this.

    That's written on the filter housing, not the filter. No telling how many times the filter was changed since an idiot wrote that.

    If it's still there in a few weeks, call and repeat your offer, they may be a bit more willing. I think you are going about this the right way. The posters who said to get a Rig Dig, dyno, ecm dump, oil sample & drop the pan were all right on.

    I looked for a year & ended up flying from California to Kentucky to get the one that seemed right to me. Two thoughts;

    1. You will never really know what you have until you get it under a load for a while.

    2. Don't wallow in remorse if the truck you buy turns out to be less than perfect. Deal with it in an intelligent way & keep moving forward.

    BigJls1 and buddyvuk Thank this.
