what do you guys think about this truck i found??????????

    i am driving 14ltr (800k miles ) for a friend of mine right now ..through steep mountains in oregon , idaho 42000 lb load 6.2mpg .
    its 13 speed though

    what year 12.7 do you recommend?

    My 1 day negative experience with Penske was they expect you to haul a trailer that was unfit to haul. I don't trust them at all in the maintenance department.

    My truck is not allowed in CA, but I dont care, there is 47 other states that I can run :) not worth the extra $$ just to run CA

    i had an 04 14l/13/3.55 was rolling 1450 rpm to 1500 rpm at 70-72 and would get 6.5 all day. van or flat. I did have a little work done... he will have trouble.


    Also there is a guy Bayou Hotshot with a "12.7" and hes getting worse than 5 mpg.

    if you getting worse than 5 mpg with 12.7 than you have a problem with the truck

    12.7 egr motor, and I agree there is a problem. He not happy about either. so 12.7 are not immune to problems either.

    I think you should consider that 44k offer. maybe finance 10k and leave your self some capital. It takes alot of money to get rolling initially registration was like $1500 for my old 30k century (Arizona cost). and trailer tags were over $700. its not a bad idea to save a little cash and just get a small loan on the truck.
