119,000 seems like plenty of miles. Almost 10,000 per month. How much were you paid for those miles?

When I see a student driver I think..."Oh great! Another guy that'll be taking the hood off of the truck he's trying to park next to"!

What do I think when I see a student driver?
I think, "There goes another friend, chasing their dream...and OH, so glad I did it YEARS ago!!"

That's what I think, when I see a student driver. ( and, yes, I DO get a little nervous driving behind/around them, but I figure, plenty of drivers thought the same of ME, way back when!! :yes2557:)

whenever i see one around the phoenix area, all i can say is that i was one a few years back, and hope the driver will be worth a ####. whenever i see them for c.r. england, all that goes through my mind is, "i hope they're intelligent enough to stay the hell away from the fleece-purchase program."

not really this is one of the few industries that public posts on their website and advertisment what ur pay is based upon # of yrs. someone could easliy ask who he drives for. get the name look up the company and more than likely its post on their site. then do the math... same thing right?? to me it personally i fell just fine telling people what i make in a forum board b.c i simply dont "know" anyone personally abd b.c were all here to gain and share info as well as a few laughs

With the economy the way it is, when I see a truck from a school now, I can't help but wonder just how many of those students will actually make enough money in this industry to pay for their school. Before the economy took a dump, there were far too many who made it though school, but never got as much as a year behind the wheel.

I also feel thankful that these folks are getting some training that is [hopefully] structured a bit.

Fair enough. Maybe I was a little rude myself.
While I would never ask anyone how much they make, I also don't agree with the companies posting their salaries on the back of the trailers.
I agree that no other profession does that. Can you imagine walking into a customer and the warehouse manager has a badge on his shirt that says:
    "Hi, I'm George and I make $xxx"

I think GOOD LUCK to you, I sincerely hope you can make a living feed your family and have a safe career. I also hope the trainer you have been put with is a decent person that treats you fairly, and imparts the old ways of doing things.
