A new program I've been using is Truck Logics. It's a web based software that helps you track everything, comes with a mobile app, allows you to send automated check calls to the broker with one click, shows you profit and loss, creates and tracks invoices for each load, uses promiles to track ifta miles as you create each load, if you use fleetone or comdata you can upload your fuel purchase or you can enter them on the mobile app at each fill up, it'll attach expenses to each load so you can see your profit and loss on that load. Overall I've been using it to help dispatch my fleet for the last 6 months and love it. My driver's love it as well. I highly recommend the software.

I also use quickbooks with this since it allows me to transfer a lot of the data directly to quickbooks so double entry!

I have been using” Rig Books”
It’s web based and $29.00 per month. Keeps track of everything you need as an owner operator. No problems yet and have been using it for about year now.

Add it up in the different line items, give it to the CPA.

    Pay quarterly estimate taxes.

Although I do keep a small calendar with my nightly location on each day, for ease and accuracy of per diem deduction.

All with pen, pencil, paper, small solar powered calculator.

Color me lazy. I use excel to print invoices, and run my company off of one credit card that i pay off to a $0 balance monthly. My accountant loves it. 99% of my expenses are on my cc. And the credit card company give you your breakdown of how you spent your money.

He gets a bank statment, a credit card statment, & a folder with receipts. It’s the ultimate keep it simple stupid.

*The points from the cc are a heck of a bonus too:)
