If he wrecked, hopefully he didn't take anyone with him in the process. The people from the demographic of which you speak seem to have little regard for the law or safety. I can't remember the last time I saw one of them actually do a pre-trip inspection that involved more than opening the door and climbing behind the wheel.

I’m currently overseas but planning on moving to Canada and maybe work as a truck driver. My dad is a Canadian
Is that true that Punjabi is becoming main language over there?

Wow, are you suicidal? Canada is literally collapsing, the cost of living is pushing people into the streets, trucking is collapsing (thousands of companies have already gone under) 400 000 class 1 licenses holders are not working driving jobs (so much for that driver shortage) and we have 7 million temp visa students and workers who are supposed to leaving between now and 10 months, but aren't going too. Take 5 mins, and search "Leaving Canada" "Canada is unaffordable" "No one can live in Canada" on Youtube and see for yourself. Canada is over, no election or new policy or budget can fix it, it's done, get out now if you can, or be prepared to fight for your life if you can't. Good Luck.

lots of Canadians who have immigrated , got their citizenship now are leaving going to other countries because the cost of living here is so high too . Anyone planning to come live here and plans to drive a truck for living needs to get their head examined because they’re nuts . Trucking for the most part sucks , at most companies the pay hasn’t increased enough with how expensive everything has gotten

That's if you can even get a job, at one of these scabby outfits. I know several guys who left freight this year, over camera's, lack of hours/miles etc etc, NONE have been able to get a job driving anything. I had my gravel job before I left freight, and I only had it, because they approved me thru a mutual friend. Apparently getting a gravel job in Alberta is next to impossible i'm hearing now?

Anyway, the next legal gun ban just dropped via OIC (order in council) which bypasses the entire Parliament/Senate process (illegal, but who cares, what Castro says, goes) and Tomorrow the Liberals Plan on announcing the Capital Gains Tax on Primary Residences, and possibly the un-realized capital gains tax. Pretty sure they did the guns first, cause people will shoot them for that one.

What a time to be alive.

IMG_0054.jpeg IMG_0053.jpeg Home for dinner every day. I’ve stayed regional linehaul 28 years now. I just can’t see doing long haul now that HOS is scrutinized by employers,,,was not the case when i was long haul
Long haul trucking in Canada is pathetic when it comes to services compared to what is available south of the border. My run the 4 trucks stops that were 24/ ALL have closed and their parking lots gone…parking now very limited
BTW,,Canada safest fleet dumped their load over in front of ‘Canada Customs at Pigeon River On today..must have been doing 50 mph on the ramp IMG_0052.jpeg

Well, just got an email today, guy I started at Bison with in 2017 (same orientation class), who stuck to Can/US OTR (all reefer) was found dead in the sleeper in the US today. No pre-existing health conditions, not on any medication, no foul play, no self deletion, typical dad bod nothing crazy in the fat department, just went to bed after a 5 am delivery and never woke up, 43, Wife and 2 kids. 7.5 years of OTR and Dead.

This isn't the first one either, but definitely the youngest I've known.

    Glad I quit.
